So this morning I've added three or four new people to my friends page, all of them people I don't really know except for Spatch, who I do kinda know in that we've been sharing BBS space for years now. I think i've talked to him a couple of times. He's very cool, very witty, and very dreamy. dreamy, i tell you. The othersum. Puce, whose site I think is pretty cool. Elly, who hates people who put song lyrics on their journal pages. (Neener. I like song lyrics.) Zannah, who is the kind of girl I would have liked to have been if I hadn't fractured so early on. Spent some time explaining pictures to some girl as part of my duties as Wellesley CL. Next time she emails me I'm going to point her at some tutorials and tell her to have at it. I want to join the Opinion Journal thing on Flabjab. But I can't. Every time I try, i get back a "document contians no data" thing which means that the server timed out before it got the data. Did someone mess with the swanky.net DNS? (Uh, oh, someone forgot to pay the interNIC bill....) I'm starting to think seriously about getting madstop.org registered and moving somewhere that will host it. Maybe Zipcon or Drizzle. Hm. Is the extra $15 a month and the $100 registration fee worth it? Hmmm, hmmm, hmmm. Actually, it probably is worth it, but I need to come up with the $100. Everything else is pretty much trivial. I thought it was $200, but it looks like it's only $100. Signed up for a second phone line, which is a definitely positive thing. We need two phone lines so badly, it's not even funny. That'll be installed next week. "Every little pool, if you measured finely enough, had a virtually infinite coastline."
