December 9th; now I'm dancing
I'm still exhausted. This has gone beyond normal and entered the realm of my immune system acting up again, i'm afraid. Good news is that i'm much less suceptable to colds and illnesses in this state, but i'm not sure feeling like I've got a constant low-grade flu is worth it. My cough is getting better, though, I think.

Let's see. Yesterday, I wrote a bunch of happy "Microsoft is so cool!" news blurbs. Then I spent a long time on my commute home. The University drawbridge goes up at 7 pm and doesn't come down until 5 AM these days (they're doing a seismic retrofit on it), so all of the buses that go across the bridge (all of them that take me home, for example) have to go up on the freeway and over the bridge after 7 PM. Last night, I tried commuting through downtown, but the bus turns to go up to I-5 about ten blocks before my stop. so I ended up commuting through both downtown and the U district last night.

Plus, there was this really creepy guy on the bus who kept on trying to talk to me. Here's a hint to any strangers who encounter me on the bus: if I have my nose in a book and if I respond to your questions very quietly and without looking at you, I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU. Is that really so hard?

I could use a break. Maybe I'll go to Vancouver over Christmas. That would be kind of fun. Inexpensive, too. Maybe I'll go dancing up there.

I'm almost finished with the autobiography of Samuel R. Delany. It's been quite the amusing romp. It's interesting to read about someone who is also gay and involved in a relationship with someone of the opposite sex. I wish I could handle it as well.

A man can tell a thousand lies, I've learned my lesson well.
Hope I live to tell the secrets I have learned;
till then, it will burn inside of me."
