Why become a member?

In order to comment on my journal entries, you need to give me some basic information about yourself. Becoming a member gives you commenting permissions on all of my entries, as well as letting you see entries that the general public do not get to see.

Becoming a member of this Web site and getting on my email list are two different things; so if you want to do one and not the other, that's fine.

Members can:

  • send private messages (without seeing the email that they're sending it to) to other members who have that option enabled
  • recieve administrative announcements
  • recieve notifications when someone has posted a response to an entry you've commented on
  • view members-only posts
  • and, of course, comment on my posts.

Privacy Policy

I, or anyone from this Web site, will never sell, rent, or otherwise give your personal information to any other party. This site does set cookies; however, it only accesses the cookie set by this site and no others.

However, any information that you choose to make public in your profile can be seen on my site by other members. You can hide everything but your posting name from public view. My journaling software uses your email address to send you notifies of replies to your comments, and I will occasionally use the emails for administrative announcements (for those who have the "include email in mailing list" option enabled), but that's all I will use your email for.
